Miners weigh (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 17 Jun - UK shares closed flat to lower, reversing earlier gains, as investors look ahead to the latest interest rate decision from the Bank of England due on Thursday.

The central bank is widely expected to hold rates steady at 5.25%, with a majority of economists polled by Reuters forecasting a cut in August.

Data from China weighed on sentiment as house prices declined further in the Asian country.

Miners were mostly lower.

Anglo American shed 0.73% at 2,371.00 pence while Fresnillo fell 0.46% at 543.00 pence.

The London FTSE 100 closed down 0.06% at 8,142.15 points.
