UK shares end lower amid lingering global growth woes

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 06 Sep - Shares in London closed lower, extending recent losses, as data from the US and the eurozone rekindled concerns over slowing global economic growth.

A stronger pound also weighed on the blue-chip index, denting future profit prospects of big multinational companies.
