Confirms FY guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Berlin, 14 Aug - Anglo-German travel and leisure company TUI said that its third quarter revenue reached a record of 5.8 billion euros, up 9% supported by higher volumes at improved prices and rates with the summer season seeing a 6% increase in bookings with average selling prices that were 3% higher year on year.

Adjusted EBIT rose by 62.4 million euros to 231.9 million with a 16.3% increase in Hotels & Resorts reflecting higher bed nights, improved occupancy, and increased rates. Adjusted EBIT at the Cruise division jumped 42.7% reflecting high demand. TUI Musement saw underlying EBIT improve by 48.2%, supported by higher volumes across its product range and benefitting from further growth of its own portfolio of experiences. In Markets & Airlines more than doubled underlying EBIT to 16.5 million. Customer demand remained resilient generating higher volumes at improved prices which helped to offset increased input costs across the regions.

TUI confirmed its full year guidance of at least 10% annual growth in revenue and at least a 25% rise in underlying EBIT.
