H1 sales 9.5 bln eur, up 8.9% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 23 Jul - The French defence group Thales said that in the first half of 2024 adjusted net income rose 6% to 866 million euros, while sales rose 8.9% to 9.5 billion.

Organic sales growth was 6.0%.

EBIT increased 10.4% to 1.096 billion euros.

The free operating cash flow was 23 million euros.

The order intake rose 26% to 10.8 billion euros and the order book reached a record 47 billion.

For 2024, Thales expects a book-to-bill ratio above 1, an organic sales growth of 5-6% and an EBIT margin of 11.7-11.8%.

The previous guidance was for an organic sales growth of 4-6% and EBIT margin of 11.7-12.0%.
