Tesla shares up more than 5% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 02 Jul - Tesla said it produced 410,831 vehicles in the second quarter and delivered 443,956 units.

The numbers were above analyst expectations which had pegged deliveries, the closest proxy to sales, at 439,000 in the three months ending June 30.

But deliveries in the period were down 4.8% compared to the 466,140 a year earlier.

Demand for EVs worldwide is slowing down and some analysts say Tesla has an aging model portfolio with relatively high selling prices.

At 1344 Tesla shares were up more than 5%.
