Q2 net income 274 mln eur vs loss of 302 mln (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 23 Jul - Canadian online retailer Shopify said that in the second quarter its revenue grew 20% from the same period a year ago to 3.8 billion euros.

The streaming service said its net income in the three months was 274 million euros, or 1.33 euros per share, compared to a loss of 302 million euros, or a loss of 1.55 euros a share, last year. Analysts had expected earnings of 1.04 euros per share.

It said it expected operating income in the third quarter of 405 million euros, well ahead of market expectations of 298.1 million euros.

It expects revenue of 4 billion euros in the third quarter compared to 3.4 billion a year ago.
