Rubis shares sharply lower on H1 results

Down over 8% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 06 Sep - Shares in Rubis fell sharply after the French energy group announced a decline in first-half results due to higher financing costs.

At 0914 GMT, Rubis was down 8.46% at 25.98 euros.

First-half revenue was little changed at 3.339 billion euros against 3.324 billion a year earlier and EBITDA fell 12% to 358 million.

Net income dropped 24% to 130 million euros.

Rubis reiterated its full year guidance. It sees EBITDA reaching 725-775 million euros and net income remaining stable despite the first-time application of the Global Minimum Tax representing an impact estimated between 20-25 million euros.

"Confidence in dividend growth is also renewed," it added.
