RTX Q2 adj EPS 1.41 usd, up 9%

Lifts FY guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 25 Jul - The US defence and aerospace group RTX said that in the second quarter earnings per share fell 91% to 0.08 dollars but adjusted EPS rose 9% to 1.41 dollars.

Reported sales rose 8% to 19.7 billion dollars. Organic growth was up 10%.

Adjusted sales also grew 8% to 19.8 billion dollars.

Operating cash flow was 2.7 billion dollars and free cash flow 2.2 billion.

Company backlog totalled 206 billion dollars.

RTX lifted its guidance for 2024.

For the full year, RTX expects adjusted sales of 78.75-79.5 billion dollars, up from 78.0- 79.0 billion in the previous guidance.

Adjusted EPS is predicted at 5.35-5.45 dollars, up from 5.25-5.40 previously.

The company now anticipates a free cash flow of approximately 4.7 billion dollars, down from a previous estimate of 5.7 billion.
