Philip Morris Q2 adj EPS 1.59 usd, up 10.6% same forex

Sees FY adj EPS 6.67-6.79 usd at same forex (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 23 Jul - The US tobacco group Philip Morris International (PMI) said that in the second quarter of 2024 diluted earnings per share grew 52.5% to 1.54 dollars, while adjusted diluted EPS decreased 0.6% to 1.59 dollars, but were up 10.6% excluding currency fluctuations.

Revenue totalled 9.5 billion dollars, up a reported 5.6% and an organic 9.6%. Revenue of smoke-free business was 3.6 billion dollars, up a reported 13.6% and an organic 18.3%.

For the full year, PMI expects reported diluted EPS of 5.89-6.01 dollars, up from 5.02 dollars in 2023.

Adjusted EPS, excluding currency fluctuations, is forecast to increase of 11.0-13.0% to 6.67-6.79 dollars from 6.01 dollars in 2023.
