'Stand ready to adjust all instruments within mandate' (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Frankfurt, 06 Jun - The European Central Bank is 'not pre-committing' to a specific path of rate cuts, the bank's president Christine Lagarde said after the Frankfurt-based institution cut interest rates by 25 basis points to 3.75%. It was the first rate cut since 2019.

'We are not pre-committing to a particular rate path,' Lagarde said in the opening remarks of her post-decision press conference. 'In any case, we stand ready to adjust all of our instruments within our mandate to ensure that inflation returns to our medium-term target,' she added.
