Confirms FY guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Helsinki, 15 Jul - The Finland-based bank Nordea said that in the second quarter of 2024 diluted earnings per share stood at 0.37 euros, unchanged compared with a year earlier, while total operating income rose 3% to 3.030 billion euros.

Total operating expenses grew 6% to 1.278 billion euros.

Return on equity, with amortised resolution fees, slipped to 17.9% from 18.4% a year earlier.

The bank maintained its 2024 guidance of a return on equity above 15%.
