Nokia signs 5-yr fiber technology deal with AT&T

No financial details released (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Helsinki, 03 Sep - The Finnish telecommunications equipment group Nokia said that it has signed a five-year agreement with AT&T to deploy next-generation fiber access technology.

Under the agreement, Nokia will provide its Lightspan MF and Altiplano platforms to support one of the largest fiber networks in the world.

The deal will include fiber network upgrades to AT&T's current footprint and next-generation fiber technologies for future network expansions and is Build America, Buy America-compliant.

No financial details were released.
