Revenue 6.069 bln usd vs 7.349 bln (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 24 Jul - NextEra Energy, the world's biggest renewables company, said its adjusted earnings per share in the second quarter was 0.96 dollars compared to 0.88 in the same period last year.

The number was below analyst expectations of an adjusted 0.98 dollars per share.

Its revenue in the three months was 6.069 billion dollars from 7.349 billion a year earlier. The number was below a consensus of around 7.36 billion dollars.

The company stuck to its 2024 adjusted earnings per share forecast of 3.23-3.43 dollars.

NextEra shares were up more than 1% in premarket trade.
