Laurent Freixe named CEO effective Sept 1 (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Bern, 23 Aug - The Swiss food company Nestle said that chief executive Mark Schneider will step down after eight years with the company and will be succeeded by Laurent Freixe, currently executive vice president and CEO of the LATAM zone, effective September 1.

Freixe joined Nestle in France in 1986. Since then, he has continuously progressed within the company, assuming various positions of increasing responsibility across different businesses, markets and zones.
