Apple reportedly won't take up observer board seat (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York , 10 Jul - US tech giant Microsoft has given up an observatory board seat at OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT, as regulatory authorities in Europe and the US examine whether their partnership violates competition regulations, according to media reports.

While Apple had also been expected to take an observer role on OpenAI's board, a person with knowledge of the matter told the Financial Times that it would not do so.
