Matador Resources buys assets from EnCap for 1.905 bln eur

Buys oil, gas assets in New Mexico, Texas (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 12 Jun - The US energy group Matador Resources Company said that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 1.905 billion dollars in assets from Ameredev II Parent, a portfolio company of EnCap Investments.

It will buy a subsidiary of Ameredev II Parent, including certain oil and natural gas producing properties and undeveloped acreage located in Lea County, New Mexico and Loving and Winkler Counties, Texas. The acquisition also includes an approximate 19% stake in Pinon Midstream, which has midstream assets in southern Lea County, New Mexico.

The deal expected to close late in the third quarter of 2024 with an effective date of June 1, 2024, Matador added.
