Cites better operational performance in summer travel season (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 05 Sep - US JetBlue Airways lifted its revenue forecast for the third quarter following improved operational performance over the summer travel season, sending its shares higher.

JetBlue's revenue performance quarter-to-date was benefited by several factors, including improving in-month bookings, particularly in the Latin region, and continued progress from its previously announced 300 million dollar's worth of revenue initiatives, the airline said in a SEC filing.

It said its quarter-to-date expenses had declined due to moderating fuel prices since the start of the third quarter.

At 1426 GMT JetBlue shares were up 8%.
