Tokyo Nikkei 225 down 0.04% at 38,686 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo , 03 Sep - Japanese shares closed little changed amid weak Asian markets, with the Nikkei down 0.04% at 38,686 points.

The index recouped most of its early-August losses, when it entered a bear market, but still ended last month down 1.6%.

Japan's long-term domestic bond yields rose today to the highest levels in nearly one month, lifting banks and insurers.
