Options include splitting off, selling businesses - CNBC (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 30 Aug - Executives at Intel are working with advisors to formulate options to address its flagging business, CNBC reported, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

The advisors, including Morgan Stanley, will likely present Intel's directors with options at an upcoming board meeting in September, the person told CNBC.

They are considering a full range of options, including splitting off and selling businesses, the person said.

Intel has suffered from fierce competition from rivals like Nvidia and announced earlier this year it would lay off thousands of employees.
