Mumbai BSE Sensex up 0.49% at 80,351 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai , 09 Jul - Indian shares closed slightly higher amid strong Asian markets.

Caution prevailed as Mumbai's stocks rose last week for a fifth straight week, their longest winning streak this year.

The BSE Sensex index up 0.49% at 80,351 points while the NSE Nifty rose 0.42% to end at 24,421 points.
