Sensex down 0.22% at 80,248 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai, 24 Jul - Indian shares closed slightly lower, dropping for a fourth straight session amid weak Asian markets.

The BSE Sensex index down 0.22% at 80,248 points while the NSE Nifty fell 0.16% to end at 24,438 points.

Mumbai stocks rose last week for a seventh straight week.
