Mumbai BSE Sensex closes down 0.07% at 79,648 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai , 12 Aug - Indian shares closed slightly lower amid strong Asian markets.

Multinational conglomerate Adani Group sank after US-based short-seller Hindenburg Research accused the chair of India's capital markets regulator of conflict of interest with the group.

The BSE Sensex index down 0.07% at 79,648 points while the NSE Nifty slid 0.09% to end at 24,345 points.
