BSE Sensex rises 0.08%, NSE Nifty up 0.06% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai , 04 Jul - Indian shares closed slightly higher, following gains on global markets after softer US economic data increased expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut.

The BSE Sensex index rose 0.08% to close at 80,049.67 points while the NSE Nifty rose 0.06% to end at 24,302.15 points.
