Sensex closes up 0.97% at 78,094 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Mumbai , 25 Jun - Indian shares closed broadly higher, extending last week's gains amid mixed Asian markets.

In Mumbai stock market dealings baking and financials shares were among the biggest advancers.

The BSE Sensex index up 0.97% at 78,094 points while the NSE Nifty rose 0.82% to end at 23,731 points.
