Hang Seng adds 1.44% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Hong Kong , 22 Aug - Hong Kong shares closed higher, after minutes from the July meeting of the US Federal Reserve released yesterday reinforced expectations of an imminent rate cut.

Market players are now looking ahead to a speech tomorrow from Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell for further indicatons on US interest rate policy.

The Hang Seng index added 1.44% to close the session at 17,641.00 points.
