HSI rises 1.06% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Hong Kong , 26 Aug - Hong Kong shares closed higher, as investors reacted to indications from Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell Friday that it is time for a rate cut on the part of the US central bank.

Gains were led by real estate and tech stocks.

The Hang Seng index added 1.06% to reach 17,798.73 points.
