Hong Kong share prices close flat, halt selloff

Hong Kong HSI up 0.10% at 17,021 points (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Hong Kong , 26 Jul - Hong Kong share prices closed little changed, halting a recent selloff amid strong Asian markets.

The city's stocks dipped yesterday to fresh three-month lows and were poised for a 2.3% weekly loss, the second straight weekly drop.

The Hang Seng index closed up 0.10% at 17,021 points.

In Hong Kong stock market dealings technology shares steadied after a recent selloff but were still set for a weekly loss.

The Hang Seng Tech Index closed up 0.66%.

Property stocks also rebounded, with the Hang Seng Mainland Properties Index up 0.39%.

Investors remained on the sidelines as they awaited more policy easing measures after the People's Bank of China slashed key benchmark rates this week.
