Joins safety sector fire detection unit Ampac (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 27 Jun - Halma, the UK life-saving technology companies, said that it has acquired GFE for its safety sector fire detection company, Ampac, for 42.5 million euros (36 million pounds), on a cash- and debt-free basis.

Headquartered in Faro, Portugal, GFE designs and manufactures fire detection and alarm systems.

GFE's revenue for the 12 months to March 31, 2024 was 16.2 million euros (13.7 million pounds), with an adjusted EBIT margin above Halma's target range of 19-23%.
