Google talks to buy cyber startup Wiz reportedly fall apart

Planned acquisition was worth 23 bln usd (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 23 Jul - Alphabet unit Google's talks to buy the cybersecurity startup Wiz for a planned 23 billion dollars have fallen apart, the Wall Street Journal said, citing a person with knowledge of the discussions.

In an email to employees sent on Monday and viewed by the WSJ, Wiz chief executive Assaf Rappaport said the company is now aiming for an initial public offering.

He also said the company intends to reach 1 billion dollars in annual recurring revenue ahead of the IPO, the paper said.
