Fresenius sells Chile unit to Medifarma for undisclosed sum

Part of streamlining strategy (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 02 Sep - Global healthcare company Fresenius said its operating company Fresenius Kabi had sold its Chilean subsidiary Laboratorio Sanderson to Peruvian pharmaceutical company Medifarma.

Fresenius did not provide any financial details.

The company, which produces infusion and transfusion products, said the divestment was part of its 'Vision 2026' strategy to streamline its global production network.

Medifarma will continue the manufacturing of the existing portfolio of products in Chile, Fresenius said.

"Fresenius Kabi remains committed to the Chilean as well as South American markets and will continue its presence accordingly.".
