Court hearing due Oct 15 (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 24 Jul - The French information technology group Atos said that a Nanterre-based commercial court has opened accelerated safeguard proceedings to implement its financial restructuring plan.

A court hearing for the approval of the accelerated safeguard plan is expected on October 15, it added.

The financial restructuring plan consists of 1.75 billion euros of new funding, a debt reduction of at least 3.1 billion euros and no debt maturing before year-end 2029.

The company added that Jean Pierre Mustier was appointed CEO in addition to his role as chairman.
