Hybrid sales up 50% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 05 Sep - Ford sales in the US grew by 13.4% on the year in August to 182,985 vehicles as its truck offerings expanded, the car maker said.

The group's overall market share in August was around 12.6%, up nearly 1% compared to last year.

Ford said sales of its hybrid models rose 50% from last year to 16,394 vehicles.
