Navy's fourth new-generation submarine (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan, 28 Jun - The Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri said that OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coope'ration en matiere d'Armement, the international organization for joint armament cooperation)has exercised an option for building the fourth new-generation submarine related to the U212NFS (Near Future Submarine) program for the Italian Navy that was assigned to Fincanteri.

The unit has a total value of about 500 million euros, Fincantieri said.
