European shares slip amid weak global markets -2-

Travel shares lead losses (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan, 19 Jul - German producer prices fell by 1.6% on the year in June, in line with analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll, according to the country's federal statistics office.

UK retail sales volumes dropped by 1.2% in June following a 2.9% rise in May, the Office for National Statistics said. A Reuters poll of economists had forecast sales volumes would drop by 0.4% on the month.

In European stock market dealings most sectors were lower, with travel shares leading the losses as software update by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike caused a global IT outage, leading to grounded flights around the world.

Miners were also broadly lower.
