European shares slightly higher

London's FTSE 100 up 0.10%, Milan's FTSE MIB 0.21% higher (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan , 21 Aug - European share prices were slightly higher in early trade, as investors bided time ahead of the release of the Federal Reserve's latest minutes later today and a speech from Fed chairman Jerome Powell Friday expected to pave the way for a September rate cut.

At 0720 GMT, London's FTSE 100 index was up 0.10% at 8,281.29 points while in Frankfurt the DAX added 0.11% to 18,375.45 points and in Paris the CAC 40 advanced 0.16% to 7,497.37 points. Milan's FTSE MIB rose 0.21% to 33,146.00 points while Madrid's IBEX 35 was up 0.04% at 11,091.85 points.
