Europe shares lower in cautious midday trade -2-

Tech, industrials stocks slip; Airbus dips (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan, 25 Jun - In the region's stock market dealings most sectors were lower, with tech shares leading the way south as they tracked a selloff in US tech stocks overnight, with the Nasdaq Composite index posting its worst day since April after a recent rally and tech darling Nvidia dipping 6.7% after soaring 145% this year.

Oil and gas stocks bucked the trend and rose.

Airbus dipped 11.60% after it said yesterday it was cutting its targets for 2024, including aircraft deliveries and earnings.A The airliner said it was now expecting its adjusted earnings before interest and taxes to come in at around 5.5 billion euros, down from a previous estimate of 6.5 to 7 billion euros affirmed on April 25.

Shares of the Italian utility Enel were up 0.69% in Milan trade after Barclays reaffirmed its "overweight" recommendation on the stock and indicated a target price of 8 euros per share. According to Barclays analysts, Enel's capital reallocation plans will continue in the next three years, with a reorganization of its subsidiaries in Italy, Spain, Chile, Brazil and Colombia.
