Europe shares higher at mid-session, rebound from 3-day drop
FTSE 100 up 0.71%; DAX up 0.29%; CAC 40 up 0.90% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan, 26 Jul - European shares were higher at mid-session, rebounding from a three-day drop as a global selloff eased. The Stoxx 600 index was up 0.50%.
At 1120 GMT, the London FTSE 100 was up 0.71% at 8,244 points, the Frankfurt DAX was up 0.29% at 18,356 points, the Paris CAC 40 up 0.90% at 7,494 points, while in Milan the FTSE MIB was up 0.22% at 33,845 points, and in Madrid the IBEX 35 was down 0.23% at 11,120 points.
Investors monitored earnings reports from European companies including BASF, Mercedes, Eni, Holcim, Air Liquide, Bouygues and NatWest.
Traders also awaited the US core personal consumption expenditures index, the Federal Reserve's favoured inflation measure, due later today.
The index is seen rising 0.1% in June, pulling the annual increase down a tick to 2.5%.
In European stock market dealings mining and household goods shares led gains, while food and beverage stocks slid.
