(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 01 Jul - In the region's stock market dealings, bank shares were mostly higher, favoured by the outcome of the first round of elections in France.

In Paris, Societe Generale rose 3.10% at 22.60 euros and Credit Agricole closed 2.83% higher at 13.10 euros.

While in Milan, UniCredit gained 4.62% at 36.21 euros and Intesa Sanpaolo added 3.18% at 3.5815 euros.
