Eni unit buys 21 service stations in Spain

No financial details (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan, 03 Jun - Enilive Iberia, a unit of the Italian energy group Eni, said that it has closed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Atenoil that operates 21 service stations in the regions of Madrid, Andalusia and Castilla-La Mancha.

No financial details were released.

The stations will become part of Enilive Iberia's network, which will have a total of 38 stations in Spain after the transaction.

"With this acquisition, Enilive Iberia has strengthened its market position in the area and has extended its presence into new provinces," it added.

'With this acquisition, three years after our return to the Spanish retail market, Enilive Iberia has reaffirmed its development objectives and is now an important player in the energy transition of the Iberian Peninsula,' said Davide Calabro, chairman and CEO of Enilive Iberia.

The acquisition of Atenoil supports key elements of Eni's strategic plan 2024-2027, which includes the expansion of the Enilive service station network "with more than 300 premium stations in strategic locations in Italy and abroad," he added.
