Report says Eni working with advisers to sell stake (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 19 Jun - The CEO of Eni declined to comment when asked about a media report the Italian energy group was considering a sale of assets in its Ivory Coast exploration operations that could be worth around 1 billion euros.

"I am not making any comment because they are things that happen and don't happen," Claudio Descalzi told reporters.

"These are delicate issues. It's a rumour and I don't normally comment on them." According to a report by Bloomberg news agency, citing people with knowledge of the matter, Eni is working with advisers including Standard Chartered on the possible sale.

Eni could sell up to 30% of the business and is drawing interest from other energy companies, including from Asia, Bloomberg said, citing the sources.
