Dyson set to cut some 1,000 jobs in UK in business review

Review comes amid fierce and competitive global markets (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 09 Jul - UK household appliance maker Dyson is set to cut around 1,000 jobs in the UK where it currently employs 3,500 people.

The company said the review of its business came as it faced 'increasingly fierce and competitive global markets.' 'We have grown quickly and, like all companies, we review our global structures from time to time to ensure we are prepared for the future. As such, we are proposing changes to our organization, which may result in redundancies,' Dyson's CEO Hanno Kirner said in a statement emailed to CNBC.
