Dassault Systemes Q2 revenue 1.495 bln eur, up 4%

Q2 diluted EPS 0.30 eur, in line with target (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 09 Jul - The French 3D software company Dassault Systemes said it expects its second-quarter revenue to come in at 1.495 billion euros, up 4% from a year ago but below the guidance of 1.525-1.555 billion euros, with the 30 million shortfall mostly due to large transaction delays.

Diluted earnings per share is expected at 0.30 euros compared with a guidance of 0.30-0.31 euros.

"Although second quarter pipeline permitted to deliver on our initial guide and the need for our solutions remains strong, we have observed cautiousness in customer signings in a complex geopolitical environment," said chief executive Pascal Daloz.

"Importantly, all deals that have been delayed are still in our roadmap for future quarters. However, we anticipate that a certain volatility in customers' decision-making will continue and consequently believe it is prudent to reflect this in our full year outlook." In this context, the group cut its full year revenue guidance to growth of 6-8% compared with a previous 8-10% and the diluted EPS growth guidance to 8-11% from 10-12%, previously.

The company will present detailed second quarter results on July 25.
