Cucinelli shares gain as Stifel raises recommendation to 'buy'

Stock up 3.27% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milan , 27 Jun - Shares of the Italian fashion house Brunello Cucinelli were higher in Milan trade, after analysts at Stifel raised their recommendation on the stock to "buy" from "hold" and as shares in the European luxury goods sector perform strongly.

At 0855 GMT, Cucinelli shares were up 3.27% to 96.45 euros while the benchmark FTSE MIB index was down 0.20% to 33,473.33 points.

Stifel, which confirmed its target price of 115 euros on Cucinelli shares, said it believes the Italian company will remain one of the strongest in the luxury sector in the long term, while its growth prospects in the medium term are also seen as "interesting." In the first half of 2024, Stifel expects that Cucinelli will continue to gain market share.
