Deal follows friendly bid for Japan's Seven & i Holdings (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 19 Aug - Alimentation Couche-Tard said it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire GetGo Cafe' + Markets from supermarket retailer Giant Eagle.

The Canadian convenience-store operator did not disclose the financial terms of the deal which is expected to close in calendar year 2025.

GetGo, a food-first convenience store experience, employs approximately 3,500 employees and operates approximately 270 convenience retail and fueling locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland and Indiana.

The acquisition follows earlier confirmation by Couche-Tard it had submitted a "friendly, non-binding proposal" to Japan's Seven & i Holdings.
