Shares down 13% in early trade (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 13 Aug - Shares in fast restaurant chain Chipotle fell heavily in early trade after the company announced the departure of its CEO, Brian Niccol.

Niccol is leaving to take up the same role at coffee shop chain Starbucks starting next month.

Niccol, who has been at the helm of Chipotle since 2018, has played a key role in the company's recovery from damage done by an E. coli outbreak that occurred in 2015 and which penalised the group for years.

At 1405 GMT Chipotle shares were down 13.1%.
