Shanghai Composite falls 0.83%, Shenzhen CSI 300 loses 0.51% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Shanghai , 04 Jul - Chinese shares closed lower, led by losses in property and consumer stocks as data continues to point to an uneven economic recovery in the country.

Caution prevailed as investors look forward to a meeting of China's political leaders from July 15 to 18 known as the Third Plenum, amid expectations that important economic measures could be announced during the event.

The Shanghai Composite closed down 0.83% at 2,957.57 points, while the Shenzhen CSI 300 fell 0.51% to 3,445.81 points.
