Shanghai Composite falls 0.35% (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Shanghai , 21 Aug - Chinese shares closed lower, with biotech stocks leading the market's retreat.

After the Chinese central bank yesterday kept benchmark lending rates unchanged, investors are now looking ahead to its decision on the medium-term lending facility next week.

The Shanghai Composite fell 0.35% to 2,856.58 points while the Shenzhen CSI 300 gave up 0.33% to end the session at 3,321.64 points.
