Cebu Pacific to buy up to 152 Airbus planes

Worth 24 bln usd based on price list (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Manila , 02 Jul - The Philippine airline Cebu Pacific said that it will buy up to 152 Airbus planes worth 24 billion dollars based on catalogue prices.

It added that the deal was the 'largest aircraft order' in the Philippines' history.

'The order is designed to provide Cebu Pacific with maximum flexibility to adapt fleet growth to market conditions, with the ability to switch between the A321neo and A320neo,' Cebu Pacific chief executive Michael Szucs said in a statement.

The airline placed firm orders for up to 102 A321neo models and has options for 50 A320neo.

Cebu Pacific will Pratt & Whitney engines for the aircraft.
