Capgemini H1 normalized EPS 5.88 eur, up 1%

Cuts FY sales guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Paris, 26 Jul - The French information technology company Capgemini said that in the first half basic earnings per share increased 4% year-on-year to 4.88 euros, while normalized EPS stands grew 1% to 5.88 euros.

Capgemini generated revenue of 11.138 billion euros, down 2.5% year on year on a reported basis and 2.6% at constant exchange rates. On an organic basis, revenue contracted 3.0%.

The operating profit was virtually flat, slipping to 1.147 billion euros from 1.151 billion a year earlier. The operating margin improved to 10.3% from 10.1%.

Organic free cash flow was a positive 163 million euros in the first half against a negative 53 million a year earlier.

Capgemini said that it cut its sales guidance for 2024. It now expects revenue to fall 0.5-1.5% at constant currency, against a previous forecast of a 0-3% growth.

The outlook for the operating margin is unchanged at 13.3-13.6%. The guidance for organic free cash flow is also unchanged at around 1.9 billion euros.
