Crude oil futures down 2.16% at 79.29 usd/barrel (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 16 Aug - Brent futures were broadly lower, slipping below 80 dollars a barrel.

Oil prices trimmed recent gains on demand concerns after OPEC earlier this week cut its forecast for demand growth in 2024 due to softer expectations in China.

At 1059 GMT, crude oil futures were down 2.16% at 79.29 dollars a barrel.
